Nine killed, several injured in Mardan blast: officials

A suicide bomber blew himself up outside the house of a senior police official in Mardan on Friday, killing at least Nine
people and injuring 25, police said.
"It was a suicide attack. The man was on foot and when he was stopped by police he blew himself up in front of the house of
the deputy inspector general in Mardan," local police officer Iqbal Khan told Private TV Channel.
"Nine people were killed -- four policemen and five civilian," he said.
Security officials confirmed the death toll and said another twenty five people were wounded.
