Nation urged to forge unity to safeguard integrity of Pakistan

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Raja Zulqarnain Khan and Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan urged the nation to
forge unity among their ranks and files to safeguard the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan. In their messages broadcast
on Radio AJK here, on the eve of Pakistan’s independence day falling on August 14, the President commended the role and
efforts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, resulted the creation of Pakistan as an independent Muslim state.
He said that as a result of their sacrifices, Pakistan came into being on August 14, on the surface of the globe as a
largest ideological Islamic state.
The President said that the whole nation including the people of liberated territory, are observing this day with full
enthusiasm and fervor.
The AJK President said that it is undeniable reality that establishment of Pakistan reflects the collective wishes and
aspirations of the Muslims of the subcontinent in the South Asian region.
The President while felicitating the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and the people of Pakistan on the occasion said
that existence of Pakistan was inevitable for the Muslims of the subcontinent, adding, it was the wisdom and
foresightedness of Quaid-e-Azam, which united the Muslims of the subcontinent under the banner of All India Muslim League
on the bases of two nation theory.
He said, consequently the Pakistan resolution was passed despite serious hurdles created by the critics of Hindu and
English regime.
The founder of nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah run the movement successfully and achieved Pakistan on August 14, 1947, he said.
The AJK President said that All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference attaches the destiny of the state with Pakistan before
its existence through a historic accession to Pakistan resolution.
While representing the sentiments of kashmiri people, he said that the slogan “Kashmir Baney Ga Pakistan” is the part of
our faith.
He added that this movement will continue till the liberation of the Kashmir valley occupied by Indian forces and it will
become the part of Islamic republic of Pakistan soon.
The AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan in his message said that establishment of Pakistan is based on two nation
theory as well as the intellectual and statesmanship of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal who presented a concept of separate
homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
He said that it was Iqbal’s vision which highlighted cultural values, traditions and Islamic teachings and that provided
base for a separate Islamic state.
The AJK Prime Minister was of the view that Quaid-e-Azam organized the divided Muslims under one umbrella and provided a
solid shape to his dream while creating a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
Sardar Attique said that it is not wrong to say that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir and Kashmiri People.
He said that Kashmir and its people have declared their future with Pakistan through a historic resolution which was passed
by the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim conference on July 19, 1947, he concluded.
