FM pays homage to ex-district nazim late Riaz Qureshi

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi here on Wednesday paid rich tribute to late Pir Riaz Qureshi, former
district nazim Multan.
Talking to mediapersons after offering funeral prayers for late Riaz Qureshi at the mausoleum of world famous saint Shah
Ruknuddin Alam at fortress stadium this morning, he said Pir Riaz Qureshi was a noble person who served the people of
Multan in whatever capacity he got an opportunity to work.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said late Riaz Qureshi was respect as a sober politician well-known for his sobriety as well as
sincerity.
The funeral prayers, led by Prof ® Mazhar Saeed Kazmi, was attended by thousands of people, friends, well-wishers,
relatives, politicians, business leaders and elite of the city.
The prominent figures who participated in the Namaz-e-Janaza included Shah Mahmood Qureshi, foreign minister, district
nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar, naib district nazim Syed Wajid Ali Shah, DCO Fazeel Asghar, former federal minister Sikandar
Hayat Bosan, former Multan mayor and ex-MNA Malik Salahuddin Dogar, Syed Mujtaba Gillani, younger brother of the Prime
Minister, MPA Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar, PPP leaders Khawaja Rizwan Alam and Khurshid Khan, ex-chairman Public Safety
Commission Sahibzada Muhammad Ibrahim advocate, other MNAs and MPAs etc. Late Pir Riaz Hussain Qureshi, 69, died Tuesday
evening after protracted illness.
